Brief Research Description

Establishment of patient-derived organoids as a preclinical platform for personalized cancer therapy: this project has the aim to realize a biological bank of organoids established from tumor samples. These will be obtained from patients operated for colorectal carcinomas and breast carcinomas, and will be processed to test the effects, on the tumor cells, of several molecules with potential specific pharmacological significance. Finally, organoids may be a platform for identifying novel therapeutic strategies. The research project will be performed in co-operation with the Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Prof. Daniela Capello.
