Brief Research Description

Neurodegenerative diseases, translational research, stem cell, clinical trials, innovative treatmentsI am a neurologist and a scientist in the field of translational research for Neurodegenerative Diseases.. I have a strong scientific expertise in stem cell research. Actually I am the coordinator of the first trial with intracerebroventricular delivery of Foetal Neural Stem Cell wich is funded by PNRR. I have a vast experience in management of national and international projects aimed to discover innovative therapeutic approaches in ALS. I had actively taken part in the foundation and updating of the first Italian population-based register in Piedmont. Another topic of my scientific activity is the genetic research in close collaboration with the Laboratory of Genetics of UPO and the participation to international consortium. I cooperated as PI in many multicenter therapeutic trials in ALS. By combining my experience in basic science and clinical research I intend to establish a high-impact translational program for neurodegenerative diseases.
