Research Activity
Brief Research Description
The main research fields are:
1. Molecular genetics of B cell neoplasia, with a particular focus on chronic lymphocytic leukemia and B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma
2. Molecular basis of disease dissemination in lymphoid malignancies, aiming at understanding the mechanisms of progression and localization at multiple sites of B cell lymphoproliferative disorders
3. Identification of molecular predictors of chronic lymphocytic leukemia and of B cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma, in order to refine a Precision Medicine approach for the clinical management of these neoplasms
4. Participation of clinical trials of novel therapeutic approaches for hematologic malignancies, with a particular focus on target therapies with small molecules and immunotherapy with bispecific antibodies and drug-immunoconjugates for B cell malignancies
5. Liquid biopsy in lymphoma, aiming at defining a non-invasive approach for predicting outcome and monitoring minimal residual disease in aggressive lymphoma, with a specific focus on diffuse large B-cell lymphoma
