Brief Research Description
My primary research interests lie in the field of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. Currently, I have three primary lines of work:
I’m interested in the study and development of computational and data-driven systems biology methods for the analysis of gene regulatory networks and non-coding DNA in living organisms. The primary emphasis here is on application to both cancer and plant genomics.
I’m interested in the study of metagenomics, particularly software development for shotgun metagenomics data from human / mouse microbiome experiments.
I’m also exploring the development of deep learning methodologies and their application to the analysis of genomic and regulatory networks associated with high-throughput big data.
Additionally, as the Principal Investigator (PI) of the Bioinformatics unit at CAAD, I collaborate with various experimental laboratories, providing bioinformatics support and data analysis expertise.
