“Application of Contrast Mammography in Clinical Practice”
Breast imaging, recently, has been enriched with the development of CEM (mammography with contrast medium), which in its rationale has all the potential to replace clinical applications Magnetic Resonance Imaging with a contrast medium.
CEM is increasingly proving itself as a method with the same diagnostic accuracy as MRI but with better cost/benefit ratio.
In this perspective, my current interest, in accordance with recent literature, has been oriented to deepen the following aspect:
Correlation of CEM versus MRI in pre-operative staging of breast cancer.
Paramagnetic contrast agent rationale in breast cancer: mechanism of contrast kinetics in new angiogenesis.
Role of CEM late acquisition in pre-operative staging of breast cancer.
CEM pattern imaging in breast cancer: correlation with histopathological findings.
Imaging of breast cancer impregnation patterns: MRI versus EMC.
Predictive role of EMC in the evaluation of suspected nodule in B3.
